We present on this page engravings of a new form of double-cylinder single-acting engine built by the Climax Mfg. Company, of Corry, Pa. In some respects the engine is familiar, possessing features which are found in several other similar types of en- gines, as, for example, the oiling arrange- ment, which consists of an oil and water | bath, into which the connecting-rod ends dip at every double stroke. In shape and disposition of some of the main work- ing parts also points of resemblance are readily apparent. The engine, however, is designed for a tixed cut off, and is furnished with atbrottling governor. The frame, in the smaller sizes, is cast in one piece with both cylinders.
